Rafael Benke is Senior Executive of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Vale, the world’s second largest mining company. Rafael is based in Vale’s offices in Switzerland. His areas of work include international corporate affairs, namely policy-making and regulatory corporate issues; government and shareholder relations; and sustainable development. He has experience in both the public and private sector, having worked in various advisory and operating capacities for the Organization of American States, Brazil’s Secretary of Foreign Trade, the law company Steptoe & Johnson and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo.
